Saturday Kitchen for Teens – Indian Cookery

Vegetarian food is an integral part of authentic Indian cooking. Many regions in India are vegetarian for both religious and cultural reasons, and even in areas where meat is eaten, vegetable dishes are still seen as a meal in their own right, and not a side dish. In this workshop the focus is on the joys of healthy and tasty vegetarian food learning about the fresh flavours, ingredients and health benefits of herbs and spices to help you get the most of your vegetarian lifestyle.
You’ll learn to create a range of dishes such as; Aloo gobi, Jeera rice, Cauliflower and chickpea curry, Sag Aloo, Spiced Red split lentils and Five-spice soda bread, Chapattis or Naan Bread.
This workshop is usitable for children aged 13 years and over.
