Integral Psychotherapy

33. Steve poem

Integral Psychotherapy is deep counselling work for individuals or couples, and is offered by Steve Thorp at St Davids Wellbeing Centre from January 2018 – initially on Thursday evenings.

Psychotherapy is a deep and soulful conversation that aims to help you to deal with life problems, find meaning and develop yourself as fully as possible; conversations that focus on helping you find yourself, fulfil yourself and grow yourself in this troubled and  beautiful world. This will usually takes place on a weekly basis – over a number of weeks or months.

Steve also offers Couple Therapy at the centre. Here the conversation aims to help you deepen and strengthen your relationship – whilst allowing for your own personal growth and development. Steve worked with Relate for many years and has long experience of working with couples.

Steve also works with young people – he works as a school counsellor and wellbeing consultant, and so can work with a range of issues facing teenagers and young adults.

Steve writes: You’ll have my full attention and commitment while we’re working together. I have no magic answers on how to live – no ten point programmes or new-age therapy that will heal or offer a quick fix. What I do have is the experience of a life spent engaging – as fully as I possibly can – with my own work, relationships, community and soul, together with two decades of working as a professional helper – a counsellor, coach, psychotherapist and Spiritual Companion – working with hundreds of people”.

Steve has worked as a psychotherapist and counsellor for over 20 years in numerous settings. He originally qualified as a counsellor in 1997, following this up with an MSc in Integrative Psychotherapy in 2008. He has undertaken further training with Relate, the Spiritual Companions Trust and in EMDR, ecopsychology, writing for wellbeing, integral practice and mindfulness – to name just a few. Steve is a Registered Member of the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy).

Fees for one-off sessions are £60 for individuals and £75 for couples. Discounted rates are available for blocks of 6 or more sessions booked at one time. Contact Steve to discuss fees and arrangements:
